Lock Stock Self Storage are proud to announce the opening of our brand-new, eco-conscious storage park in Winsford, marking a major milestone for the firm.

As the UK’s largest container-based storage company, this new Nat Lane site represents the beginning of an exciting new chapter—one that will see us establish a stronger presence across the region.

Lock Stock now has its sights set on set on opening up to 10 new storage parks by 2026, five of them in Cheshire, bringing its total to 38 with the rest across North and Mid Wales, Liverpool, Shropshire and Herefordshire..

The new one and a half acre Winsford site is a glimpse of the future with a brand new advanced booking system with monitored CCTV and an intercom with a live video link to head office in Denbigh, so new customers can sign up and start storing almost immediately.

Operations Manager Mike Trow said: “We’re incredibly proud to bring Lock Stock to Winsford. This is a thriving, dynamic region, and we believe our flexible, affordable storage is a great fit here.

“The new Winsford site is more than just a storage park—it’s a modern, secure, and easy-to-use space designed with our customers in mind.”

“The site at Nat Lane in Winsford will have 224 storage units, a mix of 10-foot, 20-foot and 40-foot containers with the largest providing over 4,000 cubic feet of storage space.

“Customers benefit from keyless coded entry and solar-powered lighting, all set on a yard paved with recycled road materials – you can even see traces of the double yellow lines, a quirky nod to our green credentials.

“Security and simplicity remain core to Lock Stock’s values, with no minimum rental period, no notice required to vacate, and customers only paying for the time they use.

“Our new online booking system has just been launched, meaning it’s easier than ever to store with us quickly and easily.

“It’s about making the customer journey smoother—from signing up to moving in, it can all happen within minutes.”

Our distinctive dark green containers are transported onto site by a specialist lorry, and every park is carefully planned using computer-aided design to ensure easy access.

By the end of the summer, Lock Stock expects to have over 5,000 storage units offering more than five million cubic feet of space.

Approximately 60 per cent of customers are private individuals – house movers or those storing treasured belongings – while around 40per cent of units are used by small businesses to store tools, equipment, and stock.

The company is also seeing rising demand from students needing short-term storage and offers a unique off-site container hire and sale service, delivering units directly to customer locations via its own fleet.

“We’ve come a long way from our beginnings in Denbigh,” Trow added, “But what hasn’t changed is our commitment to great service, high standards, and providing safe, accessible storage to our communities.

“Lock Stock is also proud to support the communities it serves. The company sponsors local sports teams, supports charity events, and partners with schools and community groups to help make a positive difference at a grassroots level.

“It’s all part of our commitment to giving back and being more than just a storage provider.”
