Lock Stock Self Storage is proud to support Coleg Cambria’s upcoming Childcare Expo by providing transport assistance to help make the event a success.

Being held at the college’s Yale campus in Wrexham on Wednesday, May 14th (17:30-20-30), the expo is expected to welcome over 100 guests, including early years practitioners, health and social care professionals, and public sector partners. The event was designed to inspire and educate the next generation of childcare professionals.

Led by Childcare Assessor Lauren Lawrence — a former nursery manager with over a decade of experience in the field — the event marks a first for the college, bringing together more than 30 organisations and businesses alongside up to 100 students, their families, charities, and key stakeholders.

“Ultimately, it will be an opportunity for the learners and staff to showcase the amazing work that takes place here and out in the community,” said Lauren.

“We wanted to celebrate that while promoting best practice and bringing childcare providers all under one roof at our cutting-edge Nant centre to engage and encourage the next generation of workers in this arena, because there is so much demand.”

She added: “The providers see our learners in a workplace setting but not the amazing facilities we have here, so it will be fantastic to show them the building, the training, and demonstrate the academic side of our programmes.

“My vision is for there to be pockets of people gathering ideas and information, bilingual networking and groups sharing best practice, which due to the nature of the job and hours people operate – early morning until evening – they won’t usually get a chance to do.

“From the interest we’ve had already it looks like being an incredible event, so we are excited to welcome people on the night.”

Using one of our company vehicles, we transported materials, equipment, and resources that were key to setting up the event, ensuring everything arrived safely and on time.

The event will feature workshops, demonstrations, and networking opportunities with industry experts, giving attendees valuable insights into careers in childcare and health and social care.

It will also offer hands-on activities and guidance for those already working in or considering entering the sector.

As a business rooted in the local community, Lock Stock Self Storage is always keen to lend a hand to organisations that make a difference. We were delighted to play a small part in supporting an event that celebrates education, care, and the future workforce of North Wales.
