How Lock Stock self storage works
We understand that decluttering your home or moving house can be stressful and know how important it is for your business to have space to operate or expand, so we make self storage really easy.
Four simple steps
Pick a site
12 towns with 18 depots and 2,700 new storage units across North and Mid-Wales.
Although not every site has an office, there’s a local representative in each area who will help you with issues that can’t be resolved over the phone. Our representative will meet you on site as soon as is possible.
Lock Stock site hubs
Our sites in North and Mid-Wales are within a short distance of each other. Businesses working in the region use our sites as hubs so that they don’t need to return to base between jobs. All sites have easy 24/7 access right to the door of your Lock Stock self-storage unit. They’re floodlit, have CCTV security systems and are regularly visited by our representatives.
If you’ve picked your site and self-storage unit size but don’t want to move in immediately, we can reserve a container for up to one week. Contact our Head Office on 01745 817178 between 9am–5pm Monday–Friday. If the site and self-storage unit size you want isn’t available, we may suggest alternatives or add you to a waiting list.
Your Lock Stock self-storage unit is available for as long as you need it. You can get one month rental free by extending the minimum period of your hire to an annual contract and paying in advance.
Once you’ve reserved a self-storage unit, we’ll arrange for you to meet our local site manager and collect your keys. We’ll give you a heavy duty lock and key for the duration of your hire. You can add extra locks to your self-storage unit if required.
You’ll need to pay for the first month hire plus a fully refundable deposit of £150 by either debit/credit card or in cash. We’ll then invoice you monthly and accept cash payments, debit/credit cards, cheques or standing orders.
We don’t provide insurance for your contents, so you’ll need to add it to your existing home or business insurance or buy specific insurance. Some insurance companies don’t charge extra for self-storage units.
You should visit your self-storage unit often to ventilate it and check your contents. If you’re going away, arrange for someone to do this for you. It’s also important to let us know if your contact details change during the hire.
There is no minimum term and no notice required to vacate so you'll only pay for the days you use!Find out more
The minimum hire period is four weeks, then you’ll be charged only for the days that you’ve used. When you’re ready to move out, notify our Head Office or site manager to arrange for your keys to be returned. Notice is not required. To reclaim your deposit, your self-storage unit must be in the same condition as the start of the hire and you must be up to date on your payments. We’ll return your deposit by cheque within five working days.
