This could be a great year for businesses in Wales, with many now reaping the rewards of hard work they have put in over the last few years.
According to an article in Wales Online, there are 19 Welsh companies that particularly stand out as ones to watch, having finished 2018 in very strong positions.
The first the news provider mentioned was Acorn Recruitment, with this agency having been expanding its operations in Australia recently. Its subsidiary down under called Synaco took over Entire Recruitment last year, which included branches in Sydney, Brisbane and Rock Hampton.
This has brought its total workforce in Oz to more than 1,000 temporary employees daily, in addition to permanent members of staff. Acorn Recruitment is expected to record revenues of more than AUS$100 million in 2019, which will boost its global turnover to over £180 million this year.
Another firm that is grabbing headlines is Moneypenny, based in Wrexham, north Wales. Recruiting as many as 25 members of staff every month to cope with its rapid expansion, this company – which provides a telephone answering service – is one of the fastest growing businesses in the whole of Wales.
It is also famous for having super stylish offices, opening its Wrexham headquarters at the end of 2016, which includes a pub, treehouse and a high-tech gym for workers.
Businesses in Wales could receive a further boost soon, as Wrexham Industrial Estate might be set to expand its site, Leader Liver recently reported. F1 Real Estate Management, which owns the land, wants to add 38 acres on the 500,000 sq ft industrial estate to provide space for more firms and boost the local economy.
