Most business owners know the importance of retaining customers and reaching out to new consumers. You’ll know how important it is when the struggles facing the high street remain a talking point in the public eye. However, you’ll know that you need to be prepared for the busier occasions and where you’ll need to increase your stock. Whether you’re based in Albrighton or Shrewsbury, storage is essential when you’re preparing to expand.
A clock shop in Oswestry is planning to expand its presence online, the Shropshire Star reports. Newgate Clocks & Watches was established in the 1990s by Jim and Chloe Read and has seen business pick up in both the UK and US.
Mr Read commented: “We have been incredibly busy. We’ve seen [the] growth of our clock business in the UK and US markets this year, both through wholesale and e-commerce. Plus, the growth of our watch division has led to some exciting new international distribution partnerships.”
Newgate has about 40 employees contracted, but that does not mean that the business is stopping there. In fact, Mr Read suggested that looking for people to push the company to “the next level is our biggest challenge now”.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that other businesses, however small they might be, will take notice of how different products and services can be expanded to markets across the world. Considering the easy access for people to shop online, it’s the right time to consider how services like home delivery could be taken advantage of and increase business locally, regionally and nationally.
