Denbigh-based self-storage company Lock Stock Self Storage has announced that it will now be selling a range of different shipping containers, starting at £400 for a second-hand ten foot container.
To help the firm in this endeavour, it has invested £100,000 in a crane and an articulated lorry to facilitate the sale and delivery of these big steel boxes.
While these containers are brilliant options for durable, safe and secure storage, they can also be used for a wide variety of different purposes… as evidenced by some of Lock Stock’s most innovative customers.

Co-founder of Lock Stock Self Storage Nick Powell said: “Another enterprising self-build was a floating home which was featured on TV’s Amazing Spaces and we’d be delighted if we could inspire this sort of imaginative design across North Wales and the border counties.
“But many will just want a container for storage and they’re ideal. They’re tough, durable, they don’t leak, they’re secure and they’ve been tested by being shipped to the UK on a 12,000-mile seven-week sea journey via the Suez Canal.”
Since opening the company’s first self-storage park in Denbigh, Lock Stock has gone from strength to strength and now has sites in Wrexham and Holyhead, with 18 storage parks now on its books. It’s also now on course to have 3,000 containers, with a storage capacity of four million cubic feet, come the end of the year.
