Work has begun on our revolutionary new site in Sandycroft on Deeside, which will provide not only storage units but also office space.

This new business park in North Wales is close to the A55 North Wales Expressway, which will make it highly accessible. There will be over 250 storage units on this 2.3 acre site, and Lock Stock Self Storage is also excited to bring office space to one of our developments for the first time.

We will be providing eight office spaces on the second floor of a two-storey construction, using containers to create comfortable and modern office environments.

Lock Stock operations manager Stuart Bowker explained that each of the offices will be fully insulated and fitted with air-source heating systems. Solar panels mounted on the other units on the site will provide further power and there will be a high-speed internet connection as well.

“The versatility of containers is well known and is something we make use of on our sites where our storage units are used by many businesses as a base for their operations,” Mr Bowker stated.

He added: “That’s something we see being extended at the Interlink site, where we will provide eight office spaces.”

Jones Bros, another Vale of Clyde company, has started preparing the site for the arrival of the containers. The groundworks will provide a platform for the containers, with surface water drainage, sewerage systems and ducting for electrical and communications connections.

Once the groundworks are completed, we will start moving our containers onto the site and get ready to open it to businesses.

Mr Bowker noted that our storage units are particularly attractive to small businesses because “there are no business rates or service charges and with three different sizes of units they’re ideal whether people are looking to grow or to downsize”.
