The Welsh Government has pledged its support to the Daily Post Business Awards backing businesses in North Wales.
Economy secretary Ken Skates told the paper that he is proud to promote enterprises in the region, which will reward North Welsh businessmen and women on November 30th.
The ceremony, which takes place at Bangor University, will shine a spotlight on the companies shortlisted, which this year demonstrates business in North Wales is continuing to thrive, as the level of entries has been said to be very strong.
“I am proud that the Welsh Government is yet again sponsoring this excellent event,” Skates was quoted as saying. “From huge multinationals through to small and medium enterprises, companies across North Wales are making a huge difference to our economy and providing jobs and opportunities in the heart of our communities. It is really important that we take the time to celebrate their successes.”
He added that the latest figures show that Welsh businesses are already putting in a strong performance when it comes to exports outside of the EU - as well as within the bloc.
Recently, the Daily Post revealed North Wales’ fastest-growing companies, with Tir Prince Leisure Group, which owns Llandudno Pier, coming in at number one, enjoying a 170 per cent increase in turnover between 2014 and 2016.
Adam Williams, who owns Tir Prince Leisure Group, said to the paper that he has plenty of plans to expand the business further.
