We all love a good pun and as a business it can certainly help you get noticed if you have a funny name. Now the Daily Post has compiled a list of some of the best puntastic business names from around North Wales.
You’ve got to love the ingenuity of some of these. If you’re setting up a business in the region these might inspire you to be creative with your business’ title.
Flint-based roof and driveway cleaning firm Busta Grimes is bound to be hit with any 90s hip-hop fans. We also loved Junk and Disorderly - a second-hand shop located in Colwyn Bay.
British Hairways - complete with a logo resembling that of the airline - is a barber shop in Menai Bridge that caught people’s attention.
A couple of Bangor businesses made it onto the Daily Post’s list, including Dark Side of the Bloom (a florist in case you were wondering) and fish and chip shop O My Cod.
Rhyl also had a couple of great pun-based business names. Tanning shop Sun of a Beach and chip shop The Town Fryer both featured for the town.
Last month small business owner Jayne Broster, who has a shop in Rhyl, said that other small businesses should give the town a chance.
Speaking to the Daily Post about her furniture restoration shop Forget Me Not, she said she hopes more small businesses will open up in the town and lead to a bright future.
