Mountain biking enthusiasts in Llandudno are sure to want to visit a new downhill biking shop that’s just opened up in the town, run by former Welsh downhill champion Sion Jones, who has been racing bikes for an impressive 27 years.
According to the North Wales Daily Post, The Bike Bar can now be found in Craig-y-Don - so it’s high time you paid it a visit if mountain biking is a particular interest of yours.
Speaking to the news source, Mr Jones said he’d always thought about opening a store of his own and Craig-y-Don makes the perfect location because it’s on the coast but not in the middle of the town so it’s easy to get to for customers.
“North Wales and this area in particular has a massive cycling scene, there are numerous clubs and they are growing all the time. I love living and cycling here, and it is the perfect location for cycling for road or mountain bikes, with three trail centres within an hour of the shop. I aim to offer a quality service, with knowledge and passion, and be a place to go for local cyclists,” he went on to say.
The store also runs a cycle to work scheme to encourage people to bike more. It has new bikes in store now that range from #549 to #999 and people can pay each month until the bill is settled… so why not give it a go today!
