If you’re looking to diversify your business or simply take on a new challenge this 2017, then why don’t you look into investing in Pendref Chapel in Bangor, a historic chapel in the heart of the town that has just gone up for sale.
It was built back in 1882 and designed local architect Owen Williams, costing £3,700 to erect, according to the North Wales Daily Post. And now it’s just been put up for sale, ripe for conversion, with the possibility of turning it into a restaurant, nightclub or similar venue.
It’s on the market for a cool £200,000, with estate agent Dafydd Hardy saying: “The chapel shows tremendous potential for redevelopment. Informal discussion with the Local Planning Authority indicate that, although the building is listed, some alteration to the building (subject to the necessary consents) could be acceptable to allow the building to be brought back into use.”
Mr Hardy went on to say it could even be used as a gallery, health clinic or a crèche. It’s within the city centre, so the uses of the site are far-reaching.
It certainly could be a very interesting business venture for anyone excited about sinking their teeth into something new. We’d love to hear if you’re interested and what you’d choose to do with the site if you did end up buying it – so drop us a line in the comments below.
