If you run a business in Wrexham, make sure you put yourselves forward for this year’s Tourism Awards, run by Wrexham’s Destination Management Partnership and back for its third year in 2017.
There are ten awards up for grabs – best small accommodation provider, best large accommodation provider, best self-catering provider, best visitor attraction, best restaurant/café, best public house or brewery, sourcing local quality food, best use of digital and social media, the rising star award and best visitor event, the Daily Post reports.
“Tourism and hospitality are worth millions to the economy of Wrexham and North Wales, with the value growing every year. Nearly 2,000 people already work in the industry locally and there’s the potential to grow this, to enable more jobs to be created,” chair of the Partnership and landlord at the Bridge End Inn in Ruabon Peter McGivern was quoted by the news source as saying.
No doubt winning an award at the ceremony – which is taking place in March at Chirk Castle – would do a lot to boost your business reputation, so if you have done well and think you’re likely to win, why not send an application in?
