Lock Stock Self Storage is pleased to announce that we’re set to open our first site in Staffordshire

The new one-acre storage park on Uttoxeter Road in Stoke-on-Trent will strengthen our presence across the West Midlands.

The new facility has 140 containers and customers have a choice of renting 10, 20 and 40-foot long units.

Founded in Denbigh in North Wales in 2000, Lock Stock now operates more than 35 sites and has over 5,700 storage units.

Stoke-on-Trent has been on Lock Stock’s radar for some time due to growing demand from households and businesses.

The new site is the latest step in an ambitious expansion strategy that has seen Lock Stock move into Cheshire, Merseyside and other new markets.

Richard Warner, area manager, said: “We are thrilled to open a site in Staffordshire for the first time.

“It is our first venture into the county, which is really exciting for us, and boosts our presence in the West Midlands.

“The site brings undeveloped land into use and is in a fantastic location on one of the main roads into Stoke.

“Stoke is a market we have been eyeing for a while and is somewhere where there is demand for storage.

“When this site came along, it was something we were really keen to pursue.”

Ollie Beech, Lock Stock Self Storage’s marketing and communications officer, said expanding into Staffordshire was the next natural step for the growing company which has been delighted by the reaction of customers using its recently-opened sites in Cheshire and the north west.

Ollie said the family-run company, started by brothers Shon and Nick Powell, took great pride in becoming a key part of every community it operated in, and that would be the case in Stoke too.

He said: “The reaction we have had in terms of our expansion, particularly in the last 12 to 18 months, has been really positive.

“We went into Cheshire for example knowing there was a demand for storage and that has been the case.

“The work we have been able to do with people in the community has been really positive and that is something we will be looking to carry on in Staffordshire as well.

“The Stoke site is all part of a continuing strategy to expand over the next couple of years and this is the next step in what is a really exciting time for the company.”

According to Ollie, the company’s excellent and friendly customer service and the emphasis it gives to offering safe, secure and easily accessible storage was proving a hit with old and new customers alike.

He said: “We offer a plethora of benefits in terms of storage.

“For householders, it is a really great way of freeing up space, and it is a terrific way of decluttering your home.

“If you’re moving house, our containers are there whenever you need them to allow you to store the entire contents of your home as you are moving.

“The benefit of Lock Stock in particular is you only pay for what you need.

“So essentially, if you pay for a month, but in the end you only need two weeks, we will refund you the difference, so you have that great flexibility with us.

“Our containers are also particularly popular and useful for local businesses.

“They are ideal if your business is expanding or if you need to keep stock somewhere safe and secure.

“Security is our top priority and we know theft from vans is on the rise, so keeping your tools, equipment or stock in our containers means you are securing your livelihood.

“All our sites are covered with CCTV in operation, gates are all coded and we have got solar lighting on our sites to ensure all our parks are totally secure.

“We also know businesses need to access their tools, equipment and stock easily and quickly, so our sites are very accessible and in convenient locations so you can get straight on them, go out on your job and get on with your day.

“We are really excited to be working with businesses and residents in Stoke and in wider Staffordshire and forming new relationships within the community.”

Starting with just a single site in Denbigh, Lock Stock Self Storage is now the biggest container storage company in the UK whilst remaining family-run.
