Pioneer’s Best Business in Llandudno competition has closed and the winner has been announced as The Bike Bar.

North Wales Pioneer reported on the organisation’s success in this local competition, run by the newspaper, with owner Sion Jones telling the news provider that taking home the award was an “unexpected accolade”.

He explained that he set out to open a bike shop that was run by people who are passionate about bikes and cycling, while also providing high-quality cycle servicing. As a result, Mr Jones has trained as a Cytech mechanic to ensure he delivers the best-possible service.

“I believe that my passion for cycling flows into the customer service I offer, and I think this is borne out by the number of return customers I have had,” he told the newspaper.

As well as servicing all kinds of bikes, The Bike Bar also sells road, racing, junior and mountain bikes, in addition to a whole range of cycling accessories.

Mr Jones has been running his business for less than a year after leaving his job as a construction manager to go it alone and follow his passion.
