Four leading firms in North Wales have launched a series of free business events to provide advice to other local businesses in the region.
Business News Wales reported that Edward Hughes Solicitors, Bowden Financial Planning, Knox Commercial & Insolvency Solicitors and Williams Denton Accountants have come together to set up Business Four North Wales.
They plan to host the Business Four North Wales event four times a year, with each event based around a different topic.
The first of these is scheduled for Friday 24 January at Porth Eirias restaurant in Colwyn Bay. The topic is ‘Exit’ in a personal and commercial environment. As well as providing refreshments and networking opportunities, anyone who attends can sit down with professionals from the four companies afterwards.
Andrea Knox, from Knox Commercial & Insolvency Solicitors, told the news provider that she’ll talk about “how to exit a business with minimal disruption” because “business owners fall out of love too”.
“I aim to put a practical and no-nonsense spin on what is a surprisingly common issue in many local businesses,” she added.
David Jones, from Edward Hughes Solicitors, explained that the four companies have been working closely together for many years, and that it made sense for them to come together to run these events to help other businesses in North Wales.
There’s other support for firms in the region too. Last month, Business News Wales reported on the progress of the North Wales Growth Deal, when the heads of the UK and Welsh governments, as well as of the North Wales Economic Ambition Board, signed the deal. It’s said to be worth over £1 billion to the region.
