Future Plans For Wrexham Industrial Estate Revealed

The company that owns 500,000 sq ft of land on Wrexham Industrial Estate has released its plans to expand the site, with Leader Live noting that should the expansion go ahead, it could provide a boost to the town’s economy.
Under the proposals, F1 Real Estate Management intends to develop an additional 38 acres on what is already Wales’ largest industrial estate.
It has entered a number of applications to expand its properties on the industrial estate. A spokesperson for the firm commented: “Our future plans for the site are designed to reflect the changing dynamics of the estate, while also supporting the local business community and our existing tenants who may be looking to grow.”
F1 Real Estate Management also intends to consult on a mixed-use development that would see a hotel, pub, leisure and retail premises developed. It is also looking into establishing a scheme to support start-up businesses that are looking to expand.
At 1,359 acres, Wrexham Business Park is not only the largest in Wales, but also one of the biggest such sites in Europe. F1 Real Estate Management is the largest landlord on the business park.
The firm’s proposals are currently waiting to be considered by Wrexham Council, although the planning agents J10 Planning said that they did not foresee any issues with their approval.
Wrexham is continuing to attract new businesses, as well as providing facilities for established companies. At the start of the year, online lender Chetwood Financial revealed that it had chosen Wrexham Technology Park as the location for its head office, preferring the region to London.
