A business in Wrexham has just been praised by the British Council for Offices (BCO) awards scheme, being named one of the best workplaces in the UK after it was redesigned to be the happiest place in the country to work.
Moneypenny – which is a telephone answering service and outsourced switchboard for companies of all sizes – now has a £15 million premises which features free breakfast for staff, a pub and a treehouse, as well as lots of natural light flooding into the building thanks to skylights and huge picture windows, the North West Daily Post reports.
Chief executive of the BCO Richard Kauntze was quoted by the news source as saying: “With Moneypenny, it is clear that the welfare of the workforce was at the heart of the approach and end product, and this focus has led to the innovative and cost effective design of numerous social spaces.”
As a result, the company was named as the winner of the Best Corporate Workplace in Northern England and North Wales at a ceremony at The Lowry Hotel in Salford.
Moneypenny itself has been in operation since 2000, leading the market for telephone answering services and outsourced switchboards in the UK relative to the company’s size, looking after more calls for more firms than any other in the sector.
