Nick has finished his bike race of 300km around Lake Vättern in Sweden called the Vätternrundan. But more importantly he has exceeded his target to raise money for St Kentigerns Hospice.

The race started at 9pm on Friday the 17th of June and took 12 hours and 40 minutes. This was a similar time to the last time he had competed in the event, but this time his average cycling speed was a lot higher but with more stops, so he’s happy with his result and we at Lock Stock are very proud.

His cycling partner during the race was Stefan Janbro from Nordinge, near Gothenburg in Sweden, a close family friend of Nicks. He also represented us out there by wearing our Lock Stock kit. Nick described him as ‘a stoic pacemaker’ and ‘determined companion’. He was very pleased to ride alongside him. Below there is a video where you can see both Nick and Stefan crossing the line together in their green and yellow looking exhausted.

Although Nick has exceeded his target of £2000 (£2298.13 at time of writing) being raised for St Kentigerns hospice, he is keen to raise more and I’m sure St Kentigerns would be grateful of anymore donations. If you would like to donate you can do so on Nick’s Just Giving page. Thank you for everyone’s support and donations so far!
